Brows faq

Varies by client’s pain threshold, topical numbing is applied before the session and throughout the procedure to keep the client comfortable and relaxed. No coffee before the procedure, as it can cause excess bleeding and affect the effectiveness of the numbing cream

Microblading is suitable for clients with dry-normal skin, small pores who also have a good amount of brow hair. On the right client, microblading can fill in gaps or sparse areas and provide definition to brows. Microblading is not meant to look like makeup, it is meant to mimic hair and provide you with very natural looking eyebrow.

Ombre brow, Soft shading, or Powder Brows are suitable for all skin types and can provide a defined makeup look, or a soft powdered look much like a soft pencil or powder. This is very popular brow type as it heals soft, natural and looks great on every age and skin type, regardless of how much brow hair you have.

Combo brows are suitable for those with normal-dry, or only slightly oily skin types with some or no brow hair . Combo Brows combine microblading hairstrokes and the soft powder technique to give you the best of both worlds.

While your desired look is an important factor in the brow style you choose, skin type, condition and amount of brow hair will determine the final look.

If you have extremely oily skin, the 3D eyebrow technique may NOT work well for you but we are happy to do it for you as long as you have a realistic expectation. The constant production of oil will cause the hairstrokes to heal with a diffused, softer look. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect.

If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment will fade sooner.

If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment will fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.

Unhealthy compromised skin due to health issues, medications and over use of (anti aging, acne skin care, etc.) are all factors in the outcome.

When you arrive to your appointment and have filled out your consent form we will start by shaping your brows. We will work together to find a shape that bests suits your facial structure and also a color that compliments your features! Once you agree on the shape the  procedure will begin. A disposable hand tool or machine that has a disposable needle cartridge is used, this machines is used to deposit pigment into the dermal layer of the skin. A numbing agent will be used throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable. Many clients describe the feeling to a sunburn. You will need to schedule a perfecting appointment 6-8 weeks following your initial appointment. After-care is very important and instructions will be given to you at your appointment. The process may take up to 3 hours!

Please contact me first for all cover ups and corrections since these are done on a case by case basis. Please send a message and include a picture of your eyebrows with no make-up and in good lighting.

Even though it is not required,If you get threading/waxing done please do so 2 days before your appointment. Do not drink caffeine/alcohol 24 hours before  No facials, fillers, Botox 2 weeks before your appointment. Do not work out before your appointment. The total healing time for your brows is 4-6 weeks total. The most dramatic time of the healing process is the first 10 days. When you leave your appointment your brows will appear bolder and darker, around day 3-4 they will begin to scab, the color will re-appear lighter and gradually begin to return. The end result will be a color 30%lighter than on your appointment day. A perfecting touch-up is required at 6-8 weeks.

Each service varies, approximately, microblading will take 1.5 – 2 hours – ombre’ shading and combo brows will take 2.5- 3 hours; this covers the consultation as well.

Touch ups on average take an hour to an hour and a half.
